BATÁ DRUMS (2024)

The batá drums come in a set of three: the Iya, Itotele, and Okonkolo. Crafted from Spanish Cedar sourced in Misiones, Argentina, they feature durable 5mm rope and Argentinian cowhide. These drums are lightweight, easy to handle, and ideal for learning and practicing Afro-Cuban batá rhythms.

DETAILS

  • We use eco-friendly wood sourced from Philadelphia and Argentina, depending on availability. Additionally, we use cowhide that is organically cured.

    • Hang batá drums on a wall for proper storage.

    • Before playing congas, be sure to tune the drums. After playing, detune them to preserve the tension.

    • Use a clean, dry cloth or towel to dust off your drums.

  • We offer financing with the option to make three payments over 75 days.

    • Customers are responsible for shipping costs if they cannot pick up the instruments at our Germantown shop.
